THE OFFICE

SCRANTON DAY

Recognizing Scranton, PA as the best home town of The Office, Scranton Day was kicked off in the early morning hours on the steps of Scranton City Hall with a presentation of the world’s largest Dundie Award to Mayor Paige Gebhardt Cognetti by stars Kate Flannery and Oscar Nunez. Following the award presentation, The Office supply kits and donations were hand delivered by fleets of Dunder Mifflin trucks to local charities and organizations in Scranton as well as Philadelphia and New York. Some of the charity organizations included Inside Out Writers, Dress for Success and Outreach Centers for Community Resources. To further give back to Scranton’s small businesses and restaurants recovering from COVID-19 closures, The Office World’s Best Boss mugs were distributed as free gifts with purchase and one lucky recipient per establishment received a golden ticket good for one year subscription of Peacock Premium.

In NYC an 18’ Dwight Snowman popped up in lower Manhattan. The sculpture, entitled “SnowSchrute” further highlighted the move of the popular comedy series to Peacock.
